We stayed at Kevin's House in Golden Grove, about 12 miles out of Georgetown. A review: Kevin's house, in Golden Grove, Guyana, very close to Georgetown is a very good value. Public transport to downtown Georgetown (for less than USD1) is available morning till late at night on East Coast Highway, a 3 minute walk from Kevin's house. The apartment Kevin rents out is on the ground floor with a spacious living room cum kitchen area, and two bedrooms. The queen-sized beds in each room come with mosquito-net. The apartment does not have air conditioning but we did not feel any need for it (late March), with ceiling fans running. The apartment is well-equipped with a big refrigerator, a gas kitchen range, sink and cabinets with utensils. The apartment is equipped with carbon monoxide sensors and fire extinguishers.
