Kevin's House in Golden Grove, Guyana

Image
We stayed at Kevin's House in Golden Grove, about 12 miles out of Georgetown. A review: Kevin's house, in Golden Grove, Guyana, very close to Georgetown is a very good value.  Public transport to downtown Georgetown (for less than USD1) is available morning till late at night on East Coast Highway, a 3 minute walk from Kevin's house.  The apartment Kevin rents out is on the ground floor with a spacious living room cum kitchen area, and two bedrooms.  The queen-sized beds in each room come with mosquito-net.  The apartment does not have air conditioning but we did not feel any need for it (late March), with ceiling fans running.  The apartment is well-equipped with a big refrigerator, a gas kitchen range, sink and cabinets with utensils.  The apartment is equipped with carbon monoxide sensors and fire extinguishers. The bathroom is basic with toilet, lavatory, and shower stall.  The property is on Market Street which becomes  lively on the weekend, with stalls al

We left Panama in less than 1.5 hours of reaching there.

A different set of passengers

Panama to Georgetown flight had a distinctively different set of passengers.

All night long

It was an all night flight.  Seven hours later, we reached Panama.

Leaving SFO

Image
Leaving SFO COPA flight from Panama reaches San Francisco around 3 pm.  It then leaves at 10:53 pm.

To Panama City

COPA flight was slightly after 11 pm.   That flight would take us to Panama City, the hub of COPA.

One way to SFO

The trip started with a rental car being taken one way to SFO.  When we lived in the Bay Area, we just took BART or CalTrain to SFO.
